What happens when it is the modern times and only a marriage of convenience can save you from your predicament? Well, that is what friends Thatcher and Bliss are wondering when both of their worlds are upended and their plans for their respective futures seem to be disintegrating right before their very eyes.

Thatcher is already under a great deal of pressure trying to fulfill the requirements of his obstinate lake uncle's will. He and his cousins all are, just so they don't lose their beloved ranch. But unfortunately, he now has to get married to continue filling the demands of the will, this is where Bliss comes in.

Bliss is a widow, after her unhappy first marriage, she just wants to settle down and adopt her foster daughter. However, her plans go awry when she loses her job, the adoption looks likes it is going to fall through. Enter Thatcher's plan for a marriage with no strings attached, but at the same time beneficial for both. All seems to be going well, till, well they actually begin to fall in love and act like a real family.

Both Thatcher and Bliss are hiding some secrets that could shatter each other's perspectives. Will they be able to share their deepest secrets to one another and make this a real happy family, not just for their sake but for their daughter too? I enjoyed this modern-day marriage of convenience story and the couple's love and faith they tried to build their lives on. As the Good Book says, the truth shall set you free.
