Review: The Traitor's Pawn by Lisa Harris

To Purchase
About:

An FBI agent joins the search for a missing senator—and encounters a woman he was once in love with. Full of complicated pasts and people desperate to hold on to the present, this novel delivers a masterful story of redemption and revenge.

My Thoughts:

The action and suspense starts right off in the first chapter in author Harris's latest thriller. A gun shot and a kidnapping-but who is really the target?

There are a lot secrets in this story that needs to be uncovered. Some of the realizations and truths that the characters uncover are shocking indeed. And everything feels like it is happening in real time.

Throw in a romance that started for one side years ago, that adds to a slow simmer of feelings that are going to have to come out in all of this suspense and danger. I was rooting for Jack and Aubrey from the beginning. They both needed something else besides their jobs to make their lives more whole. After so long of a time, can Jack tell Aubrey what he should have so many years ago?

I always enjoy author Harris's stories. This was a nice escape from the reality that is. I was provided a copy of this novel from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
