My Thoughts on Winning His Trust by Toni Shiloh

About:

To build a future together

They must both let go of the past…

Returning home after a bad breakup, Jordan Wood is eager to prove she can run her family’s store. Setting up a partnership with Declan Porter’s struggling adventure business might do the trick. But the handsome single dad is set in his ways—in business and in love. Can winning his—and his son’s—heart help them all heal?

My Thoughts:

Jordan Wood has come back home to prove to her siblings, to herself, and even to God that she is not a failure. She quietly has finished her business degree, if only her older brother Mike would let her handle some business changes at their family store. Jordan realizes that Mike must see her as not quite competent yet, so to prove to her family she has what it takes, she is going to help an old classmate, Declan Porter turn his floundering business around.

Declan is a single dad still struggling to put his life back together with his little boy after his ex-walked out on them. What he doesn't need now is the oh so perfect Jordan stepping into his life. But her business ideas make sense, and she genuinely wants to help him. What could it hurt? Only his heart if he ever let her get that close and his little boy River.

Jordan and Declan were both so busy building up walls of protection so that they would never get hurt, only to really need to deal with the loss and grief they both had. Jordan her late father, and Declan his marriage. They also both danced around the fact that even in high school they were curious about one another and now that they were adults, what could stop them now, once they got out of their own ways.

I enjoyed visiting with the Wood siblings again and seeing Jordan get her story.

I was provided a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
