My Thoughts:

Christmas is a very special time, with a bit of wonder and hope filling the air. Especially for children who look forward to this holiday with great anticipation. In The Christmas Blanket EJ is a little boy who is excited about going to see the lighting of the tree at the Rockefeller Center. Not only that, but to make his Christmas wish upon it.

On the way with his mom, he is given some bad advice about what Christmas is all about. He is told that Christmas is all about the gifts. Well to that thinking and very feeling boy, that just didn't sit right. So, he asks his mom what Christmas is about and she decides to let him discover that all on his own.

With artwork that showcases the story in all of its simplicity and meaning, this was a story that shows how even a child can bring good cheer on Christmas when there seems no hope.

I was provided a copy of this novel from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review, and all views and opinions are my own.
