A little mix-up…

Could make her Christmas wonderful!

Natalie Weiss is mortified. After mistaking handsome Tanner Rockford for his cousin, she’s followed him to rural Alaska. Now she’s stranded—until Tanner invites her to spend Christmas with his family in their rustic, cozy cabin. But in this idyllic winter wonderland, Natalie discovers the family she’s never had…and the love she never knew she needed. But what happens when they all discover why she’s really there?

My Thoughts:

What starts out as a mission to help a friend in need, becomes a place to call home with a different future than planned for Natalie Weiss.

Natalie's friend Brooke has a secret and she needs Natalie's help in finding the reclusive man named Dane. However, Natalie gets more than she bargained for when she mistakes Dane's cousin, Tanner, for him. Natalie is no super sleuth, she barely kept hidden, but her trying to follow him without getting caught was less than stellar. And a bit on the humorous side.

As circumstances dictated, Natalie finds that she rather likes Tanner and his family. They are very close, not something Natalie has experienced before. Natalie just wants to find Dane, to deliver Brook's letter and move on to her new job out of state in New Mexico. Nothing else. But things begin to get complicated.

I really liked this close-knit family. Natalie was also very loyal to her friend. Doing whatever she could to make her comfortable and well cared for. And by the end, the author made me care about all the characters. Even the recluse and missing Dane. This Christmas story was full of surprises, both good and unexpected.

I received a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

About the Author

Beth Carpenter is thankful for good books, a good dog, a good man and a dream job creating happily-ever-afters. She and her husband now split their time between Alaska and Arizona, where she occasionally encounters a moose in the yard or a scorpion in the basement. She prefers the moose.
