Review: Fatal Recall by Carol J. Post

To Purchase
About:

When Paige Tatem loses her memory, she knows just two things: she has a target on her back, and police officer Tanner Brody is the only man she trusts to protect her. As they piece together her past, Tanner wonders what lies hidden in Paige’s mind. And as the truth begins to emerge, it becomes clear that a ruthless enemy wants certain secrets to stay buried.

My Thoughts:

It has been a long, long time that I have read a store that had a character with amnesia in it. When that story line is done well, it makes for an interesting premise and asks some tough questions of the characters.

Tanner, who is a police officer, is spending some time in the great outdoors before starting his new job, when gunshots interrupt a peaceful outdoors. Luckily for Paige, Tanner finds her and has enough smarts to get them out of the immediate danger. And so the story continues with death following behind them.

I really liked this story and the characters. I liked the amnesia part and learned along with Paige who she was and who she is. Tanner was a guy that stepped into the thick of things to protect her. The bond that grows between them is realistic and very sweet.  This was pretty much nonstop action and danger with a romance that grows only stronger as the characters back stories are revealed. This is my favorite book by author Post to date, and possibly my favorite Love Inspired Suspense.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
