My Thoughts:
The matchmaking duo is back, much to the wonderful success of Gayle Ann's oldest grandson finding his happily every after and now engaged to get married. Now she wants her and Alveda to move on to her youngest grandson, Reid. And Gayle Ann has the perfect candidate, Heidi who is like a granddaughter to Alveda. Alveda now is not sure that they should be meddling and she thinks that they can figure things out for themselves. Gayle Ann on the other hand doesn't think a push now and then would hurt too much.
Heidi and Reid have been friends since junior high. They grew up close but lost contact with one another. But when Reid buys the house that Heidi so desperately wants to just flip it, Heidi is bound and determined to have him sell it to her.
Reid reluctantly gives in to Heidi's plan and they begin working together on the house. Both are noticing an attraction that doesn't seem to have been there before. Meanwhile the matchmakers are keeping busy.
This was a really sweet, cute, and romantic story about friends becoming more and family drama that needs to be worked out for everyone's best interest. I was very invested in their relationship and knew there would be some hard lessons to learn to not repeat the past of others.
