Her worst enemy...
Could bring her heart home

Heather Stanhope wants to despise the man who now owns the ranch her family lost. But Matt Burton is raising his late sister’s adorable twins, loves horses, and is known for his loyalty and honesty. Sneaking into Adelaide Creek for her friend’s wedding, Heather hopes to avoid Matt, but fate and family have them crossing paths. Heather knows falling for Matt means risking her heart, but it’s a risk she can’t resist.

My Thoughts:

Home. It is a place of safety, warmth, and especially family. But for Heather, home is also a place of sadness and losses. Not ever wanting to step back in her hometown, Heather has come back to be her best friend's bridesmaid. This visit will not be easy, especially after the death of her parents, the loss of their generational ranch, and the estrangement of her brother. Heather is a lost soul without any real anchor.

Matt and his mother are raising his late sister's twins. Their story is one of loss and grief as well. Matt is also the purchaser of the ranch that Heather and her family lost. He also knows the pull and importance of home. And as he meets Heather again, likes her, and begins to pursue her, he wants to give her a home and a family back. Maybe his. And maybe the home she lost.

This was a sweet and endearing story of family and love in a small Wyoming town that the author brought to life with her storytelling. I hope there will be more stories told there.

I was provided a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
