My Thoughts:

Well, this little novella was quite an intense read. This is the third book in the series and the first one that I have read, but that did not diminish this reading experience for me. And for this being a shorter novel, it packed a quite a storytelling punch.

Frankie Shep's life has not been easy and she is just trying to move on from all she has faced (and they were whoppers) and just lose herself in her and her fiancé's romance and wedding planning. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen and Frankie and Quint have a new major hurdle they must now overcome.

This was quite a read and boy did I feel for Frankie. She has had a rough life and a couple of times she asks why this keeps happening to her. I chuckled a bit and thought to myself, it is your author's fault. Anyway, this was a pretty good read and my first by author Randau and I will definitely be looking into her other novels.

Since Choir Loft Murder is the third book in the Frankie Shep Suspense Novellas series, I wanted to show how Frankie has grown through the series—from broken woman who is angry at God for allowing the deaths of family into a strong and happy woman who relies on God to help her through an unusually tough life.

She has shown her grit in all three novels in the series, and this one shows how she has grown through the adversity life has thrown at her.

In writing Choir Loft Murder, I wanted to show that ordinary people usually are stronger and more resilient than they know.
