My Thoughts:
My very favorite trope is the marriage of convenience one. A lot of times I do not find ones that are set in contemporary times, but this one is and it is a favorite.
Sometimes you will do most anything for the family that you love, and that is how Carla finds herself engaged and married to a man that she does not love. To save her father's health. Oh she likes Franko, he is handsome and smart and is goal oriented like her and they do get along well.
Franko never wanted to marry, coming from a broken family himself. But to save his Grandfather's business, Carla's crazy idea makes sense. It just needs to end after six months with no strings attached.
However, when their passion for work turns into passion for each other, no matter what they do, hearts are going to be broken. Plus their families are tangled up in a long time feud.
I really liked this story and it is my favorite Faye story. I knew Franko and Carla were meant for each other and their story as they find out themselves and fall truly in love is heartwarming.
