Character Spotlight:
Margot, what a fascinating character she is. She thinks and
relates to life in numbers. Even her prayers are number oriented. I like that
we were able to get inside her head and get to know her. I can imagine that in
real life she might be harder to get to know.
I enjoyed watching her grow and mature especially from the child she was
in A Song Unheard. Her relationships
with her mother and her brother Lukas are as close as ever and I liked that she
took the initiative to become friends with several characters in the book. She
grew up into a very gifted and at times snarky young woman who is confident
inside her head and can hold her own with the most disgruntled of co-workers.
Drake, the dragon, the spy, the loving brother and most
attentive beau: I liked him and his action adventure scenes were fun to watch
unfold. He balanced real life and spy life well. His devotion to his family and
especially his sister was endearing and when Margot steps into that spotlight,
well watch out. His wooing may be unconventional but he knew just how to speak
that one’s love language. What a great love story in a time of war that played
out.
