Review: Falling for You by Becky Wade

To Purchase
About:

Willow Bradford is content taking a break from modeling to run her family’s inn until she comes face-to-face with NFL quarterback Corbin Stewart, the man who broke her heart—and wants to win her back. When a decades-old family mystery brings them together, they’re forced to decide whether they can risk falling for one another all over again.

My Thoughts:

Falling for You is another great example of why author Becky Wade is my favorite contemporary author. In this second book of the Bradford sisters’ romances, we get oldest sister Willow and her story and what happened between her and her love, former NFL quarterback Corbin. This was a great addition to this already strong sisterly bond and shows what happens when you think you are not perfect enough for yourself. Having a hard time forgiving herself and living with the guilt and shame of her past with Corbin, Willow has turned inward and now strives harder to be the perfect older sister and daughter and a moral example to young women who look up to her and her modeling career.

Corbin has had a change of heart and now is pursuing living a better life then what he did. Enter his cousin’s preteen daughter with an unusual quest and per her instructions he must include his ex-girlfriend Willow to help them. Willow and Corbin have a lot of chemistry, love, and hate flowing between them. It was a constant tug of war for both of them to hold on to their emotions until both decided to try their love once again.

There is a mystery story along with theirs and through a series of flashbacks we get to see just what happened to this couple the first time around. Family secrets are brought to life and certain requests are made that certainly looked like they could derail this rekindled romance. I really enjoyed this second installment even though it was a rocky road for these two to move on from the past into a future that would be better for them.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
