Review: Amish Cooking Class Cookbook by Wanda E. Brunstetter

To Purchase

About the Book:

Fans of Wanda E. Brunstetter’s Amish romance novels are invited to go back to cooking basics with characters from the bestselling Amish Cooking Class series. Heidi Troyer, her students, and other contributors share over 200 practical recipes for use in any kitchen, along with tips to keep things running smoothly.

My Thoughts:

What can I say but yum, yum, and yum?  I am always on the prowl for simple, quick ways that will feed my family, preferably healthy recipes that I can actually understand. As I went through this book I was quite pleased that most of the recipes were short and with ingredients I knew and often use anyway.  There are photographs along with some of the recipes so I can get a sense of what a dish might look like.

The section I was most looking forward too was the breakfast foods. Breakfast is my favorite time to eat and I enjoy a good big breakfast, though my knowledge is limited in what to make. These will be some of the first recipes I try and I am looking forward to it.

This is a very nice spiral bound cookbook with even a section for children and easy to make recipe’s for baby food. I wish I had this when my kids were babies. I will be using and discovering new recipes in this cook book for years to come.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
