My Thoughts:
This was definitely a grumpy sunshine story. Emma has been caught up in a whirlwind of scandal as she slowly comes to the realization that her boss and his assistant disappears with all the investor's money from the company. Now the police and FBI are involved, and everyone seems to be looking at Emma suspiciously. Emma also has lost her nest egg as well and now she goes to stay with her best friend until she can come up with another job.
What happens is she is hired by the Donnovan electricians as Wade Donavan, co-owner, is still recovering from an auto accident that has left him in pain and anger. Wade is not pleased his dad hired Emma, and he is adamant not to get too friendly with her. But lo and behold, she begins to rub off on him and helps him and he is just naturally drawn to her. Until Emma's world begins to crumble again.
I liked how the author really showed Emma's faith throughout her situation. She was in trouble, not by her own doing, but she kept her prayers going. Being an example to those she loved most. Wade had let his situation define him. When he had just about given up in anger and rage, in steps Emma into his life. Can he be there for her, the grumpy and she the sunshine? This was a good story of falling in love with a bit of mystery and danger.
